Bilateral trade covers electronics, machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products. The embassy coordinates consulates general in Mumbai and Kolkata. The Chinese community in India is small but the bilateral trade and diplomatic relationship is strategically important for both countries.
