The form itself hasn't changed — the deadline has. Taiwan's compulsory digital arrival card (TWAC), required of every foreign visitor arriving by air or sea since October 2025, now accepts submissions up to seven days before arrival rather than three. For Kiwi travellers, whose Taiwan entry is visa-free, the TWAC is the one pre-trip formality — and it now fits the week you're packing rather than the day you're flying.

Filing runs through the official portal (English available), starting with an e-mail verification and covering passport details, purpose, flight or vessel data and accommodation. Groups on one itinerary can use a single submission, and the card stays editable until the immigration document check — hold onto the electronic confirmation and its document number in case plans shift.
