Austrian Consulate General in Chengdu

Consulate of Austria in Chengdu, China

Overview

The Austrian Consulate General in Chengdu serves southwestern China — Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and the Chongqing municipality. The Chengdu-Chongqing economic corridor is one of China's fastest-growing inland markets. Austrian companies are active in the region's environmental technology, machinery, winter sports infrastructure and tourism sectors. Sichuan's growing ski industry has attracted Austrian ski resort developers and equipment suppliers. The consulate handles passport services, emergency assistance and document certification but refers visa applications to the Embassy in Beijing.
